For more than 30 years, Lions in the greater Olympia have sold apples each fall to fund service projects in the community. Thanks to many hundreds of happy repeat customers, the sale has grown from a few boxes sold out of a Lion's carport to a hugely successful fundraiser delivering thousands of boxes of apples each year.
The sale is still managed by Olympia Host Lions Club, but today more than two dozen Lions Clubs in towns from Poulsbo to Kalama join in to offer their customers fresh eastern Washington apples delivered to their door. Youth groups - like the Olympia area Sea Cadets - often join in to help and raise money for their own projects.
Our apple sale is complete for this year -- but you can click the button to be put on our mailing list to be notified for the next sale.
Here's an important fact about Lions. For every Lions fundraiser, 100% of the money raised from the public is returned to the community in service projects supported by the Lions.
When you buy a box of apples from the Lions, you support important Lions projects like Camp Leo for Children with Diabetes, the Northwest Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center and the Lions Low Vision Resource Center right here in Olympia.
Other Lions projects funded by your apple purchase include:
If you feel moved to lend a hand, the Lions would be glad to have your help delivering apples in the fall. Send us a message.
