Our Meetings are Interesting!
Meeting attendance is never a requirement for Lions, but we do have fun together. Most meetings feature a speaker to share something about our area or the people we serve.
Olympia Host Lions meet each Tuesday at noon at the First Baptist Church in Downtown Olympia.
Steamboat Branch Lions meet 1st Monday of each month at Griffin Fire Hall #1 on Steamboat Island Road.

"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” Helen Keller
Ever since Helen Keller challenged the Lions to be her “knights of the blind,” Lions around the world have focused much of their efforts on preserving and protecting eyesight and assisting people with visual impairments.
Olympia Host Lions Club is no exception – we have many wonderful vision projects to serve the people of Thurston County and beyond.
When things get rough for our neighbors, the Lions get to work with projects to feed hungry people.
From collecting paper bags for use at the Food Bank to delivering thousands of pounds of food each month to communities in need - Lions are helping to keep Thurston County residents from going hungry.
Concerned about our environment? So are the Lions. That's why Lions Clubs International has made our environment one of the 5 International focus areas.
Olympia Host Lions environmental projects include:
We are proud to have helped with the creation of Lions Park on Olympia's east side.
Being a child with diabetes is hard. Help us support Camp Leo Summer Camp for Children for with Diabetes.
From gas coupons to helping out with rent, Lions are ready to help families of children with cancer through Mary Bridge Hospital.
And once a year Lions collect teddy bears and other stuffed animals for the children - it's a feel good project.
Olympia Host Lions have a long history of supporting local teachers and students.

The Lions Clubs International Foundation regularly receives a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator - based in part for our excellent handling of funds raised.
Lions International also was named the #1 non-governmental organization (NGO) in the world for its careful handling of donated funds.
At the club level too, all funds raised from the public are used for service to the community - EVERY PENNY! All officers at the club level are volunteers - no paid staff. Expenses for club administration - room rent, parties, awards, etc. - are paid by Lions themselves. When you donate here, your donation is tax deductible and 100% of your donation is returned to the community through Lions service projects.
When you join one Lions Club you also become a member of Lions Clubs International - with clubs all over the world. That means you have "family" wherever you travel - across the U.S. or around the world.
Our members have visited and worked with clubs in Florida, Arizona, Minnesota, Oregon, Mexico, Canada, Costa Rica and beyond. As a Lion, you will find yourself welcome wherever you go - find out how being a Lion can open doors for you.

Olympia Host Lions is the granddaddy of the Lions clubs in the Olympia area – and we are proud of the many other Lions Clubs we have helped to form over the years. Here are some of the other Lions Clubs we have “hosted”.
