Camp Leo for Children with Diabetes provides a week long over night camping experience exclusively for children ages 8 to 18. Over the years Olympia Host Lions have played keys roles in the operations and management of camp. Growing from 1 week serving 25 children to 4 weeks serving 400 children, camp provides children the tools to live a healthy life with diabetes.
Olympia Host Lions and the Steamboat Lions collect teddy bears and other stuffed animals for children going through cancer treatment at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital. Brand new plush animals - cuddle size and with tags still on - can be dropped off at area businesses owned by Lions or supporting the drive. Lions gather the bears and transport them to the hospital.
